Upgrading, Installing and Using the Winch: So far I am very happy with this winch. Installation and usage instructions are simple and clear. Plenty of cable (actually too much for my application) to connect to your battery and it all came together with no issues. Wireless and wired remote work, the winch itself works perfectly. I honestly can't think of anything to complain about yet. I have yet to test it, I'll update if I run into any problems in the future, but for now it's a hell of a deal for what you get! First unboxing review: I bought this winch as the most budget friendly product that comes with a synthetic rope. I've had many winches in various price ranges (Warn, Smittybilt, HF, etc.) and I expected this winch to be comparable to something like the HF. Overall that's true in terms of build quality, but I don't see it as a bad thing at all. Check out the dollar, it seems like a pretty solid product. Everything looks meaty. There's a decent amount of plastic in there, but that's to be expected, and most importantly, it doesn't feel flimsy, so I'm not worried at all. The included wire for installation is very thick. definitely a plus. The included main power cable is long enough and comes with a switch box! I was pleasantly surprised by this. A little extra overload protection. Not all winches come with this, so it's a great feature. It has a wired and a wireless remote control. Some people seem to be having trouble with the wireless remote control. I'll have to test this once I've hooked everything up, but for now it's working. The kit includes all 8.8 hardware that should be strong enough. I'm pretty optimistic that one day this will prove to be a good buy. I install and test it. All signs point to this as soon as you unpack and examine it. I see no reason not to give all stars at the moment as long as it meets or exceeds all my expectations given the price.
