I have a 2008 Diesel 4x4 Dodge Ram Mega Cab that I ordered this part for. The dealer told me my truck was actually a 2008 1/2 and would use 2009 parts. I recently changed the steering gear to an upgraded 2009 and taller heavy duty gear and more traction. The bracket mounting holes on the frame were correct, but the axis of the bipod did not line up with the bracket hole. I called Raf County and spoke to one of their techs and was told they don't actually have one for 2008 with an upgraded transmission. I told them I just needed to machine out the mounting holes (4) and only move the strut about 3/4 inch and he agreed it would work and even said they would still guarantee it. I didn't want to return it as it wasn't that expensive and I liked the mounting concept. I drilled holes and it still didn't move to center the shaft. I noticed that the right bracket is now butting against the stabilizer bracket bracket. I didn't want to cut this mount as it's flimsy and I didn't want to loosen it. I simply sawed off part of the new bracket, omitted the weld, and it snapped into place. I painted the treated areas and it looked good. I don't feel that working with the machine compromised the integrity of the new part. I tightened everything, tested my truck and everything was fine. End for a little extra work, this worked great.
