Ok - here it is - If you have a Volov Penta 5.7GSIPBYCCE like we have in our boat and are low on fuel - you are probably tearing your hair out trying to find out , which is wrong - there are a bunch of lines on the blogs with all sorts of tips and no clear answers - we originally got one from this seller and it didn't solve the problem - they immediately offered to send a replacement for free, if we send it back the core - bottom line, this pump wasn't the culprit. 1. Get a fuel pressure gauge - Link Actron CP7838 Professional Fuel Pressure Tester 1. Check and make sure the relays that power the pumps are getting 12 volts - check the relay connections and all grounds in the pump system: INNOVA 3320 Auto-Range Digital Multimeter the motor if they are not working properly. 4. - The VST tank must cool the fuel - Make sure the water flow is not impeded by salt deposits. Parts are scarce and hard to come by - you have to look up OEM part numbers on the Volvo Penta website and then google that number to find a working replacement. Fuel tank - run it and see if you have the same problem. a month long journey to explore all this - we are back on the water going great. As such, ratings for this product will never be 5-star - There are so many variables that must come together to make this pump work properly - We hope this rating relieves us of the heartache we have gone through on this journey to start our boat again for the fishing season.
