Review on 🚗 Mishimoto Performance Aluminum Radiator for Subaru Forester XT 2004-2008 (MMRAD-FXT-04) by Rubeen Black

After a few days of research I found out that cheap cheap replacement parts can fail in as little as a year. Why pay twice and be without a car again? Don't waste a minute debating which radiator to use in your Subaru! The quality is excellent. Except for one shortcoming. Whatever you do, either use the filler piece for its intended purpose or, if you don't need it, find a way to solder it. DO NOT remove or attempt to insert a plug. I knew beforehand that threading an aluminum plug into an aluminum neck was going to be brittle, and while it felt good, it didn't. The fact is that the cap in any case closes the filler neck below this hole. So just leave it on (that's my decision for now). I chatted with Mishimoto and they said all I have to do is send it back to them and they will replace it with no problem. I do not have so much time. Since I installed it for 2005 I had to make some modifications to the shroud (which was on the bottom of the OEM cooler (the holes were slightly offset)) and the fan housing next to the bottom hose (see pic). Neither was a real problem. I also had to realign both pads on the bar used to support the open hood.
