Review on ๐Ÿš— CURT 11380 Class 1 Trailer Hitch for Chevrolet Corvette - Compatible 1-1/4-Inch Receiver by Issac Burnett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well-designed, streamlined, clean look!

Check out the installation video on youtube from erailer.com, it's very complementary to the instructions provided (always nice to see someone else getting it right), it's very helpful for the, what you can expect. It's an extremely tight fit, which makes installation a little tricky, but it's easy to do at home with the right tools (though it's a lot easier if you have a friend with a lift). The snug fit makes for a very neat finish. The receiver fits snugly against the bumper and is in line with the exhaust pipes. A few additional comments to help with the video. The first two holes need to be widened to fit the blocks provided, I had to sand the back of the hole to remove the "piece of metal" mentioned at 1:37. This is a tongue left over from punching a hole in the frame (I think it's a dangling chad). Removing this metal tab removed its anti-rotation feature, but allowed me to position the rear hitch so that the rear attachment points were centered on the rear bumper cross member. I used a roughly 1.5" diameter step drill bit for the rear bumper hole and then drilled an adjacent 1/2" hole to expand the block (similar to the front brackets). A long (I had 18") 1/2" drill bit for the rear holes made it much easier to get the exhaust tips through (just drill the installed hitch mounting hole into the bumper beam. Overall very happy with the installation and the finished look.
