I have sent the same recommendations to the manufacturer/developer of the product: 1. A stand made of aluminum or carbon fiber (not steel) is even lighter.2. It's easy to assemble, but all screws must be removed to remove the top shelf, and screws can be lost if you move the stand frequently. If at least one (horizontal) side of the T-Bracket has a "slide tube insert" (similar to a bathroom shower curtain rod) that can be raised in and out by hand and secured with a screw or internal spring, disassembly is required it's easier to just loosen the screws than to remove them completely (this way the o-rings can stay attached to the plastic shell while driving).3. The plastic shell is very slippery! I use this stand for video switches and small monitors and can't afford to drop them. I have already purchased the Revain rubber/silicone self-adhesive anti-slip pads, which work great! The manufacturer could offer similar non-slip self-adhesive pads. Other than that, this is a great product.
