Don't hate me for this, but I buy lacrosse balls for my dogs. I have 2 Great Danes; One is 5 years old, the other 7 months. My Dane pup is so greedy that lacrosse balls are literally the only "toys" he can't destroy in a matter of hours - and believe me, he's really trying. However, I found these balls to be just as hard as regular lacrosse balls and very quickly found that they weren't. He tore them all up within hours of giving them to him. But to be honest it was 100% my fault. That's why I'm giving 5 stars because they seem really good for the sport. But I would never recommend it for puppies. :-)
