I was so happy and excited when I received this for the first time. I was homeschooled and fed up with manual sharpeners and my kids kept breaking the lead in them. So I decided on a more whimsical one. I liked that it ran on batteries rather than electricity and the price was decent. The chip compartment holds a decent amount. Within the first 2-3 months it stopped working. One of the blades popped out so I fixed it and it kind of worked, put in new batteries and it worked fine again but only for a pencil or two and now it makes noise but nothing moves to sharpen. Definitely sad as I decided that an electric sharpener is definitely a must for homeschooling and it only took me 4 years to figure it out and now it's broken.
