Good radio, bad instructions

This radio packs a lot of features at an affordable price. GPS, Bluetooth, speakerphone, CD and DVD. It is so good. It even has steering wheel controls for vehicles with this feature. The downside is the instructions. Very few instruction manuals and wiring is minimal. For a long time I could not find out why the rear view camera is not working. There's a regular yellow video connection wire, but there's also a red wire sticking out. You need to connect it to the same hot wire you use for power. This should be the wire to the reverse lights, which come on when you put the car in reverse. At the opposite end of the wire from the radio, the additional red wire needs to be connected to the pink "return wire" of the wiring harness. There is another wiring harness attached to the camera that also needs to be connected to the same reverse light and ground. Another minus is that there are no options to show the background color. It's okay, but I usually prefer amber. So if you're on a tight budget and want a new car with similar features, this is a good option. Just be aware that the manual isn't the best and if you've never changed a radio this could be a problem. Here's a tip: there's a green wire marked Parking - connect it to any ground, like a screw on a radio, to activate GPS while driving.
