I'm a techie and I push devices very hard. I have three of these locks. I bought locks because they are electronic locks with a mechanical fail safe mechanism in case the electronics fail. As one of the locks would be used on a barn with no other alternative entrance it was imperative that there be a fail safe mechanism. This works perfectly. I failed clutch with two locks. As a former Apple CEO, I know that even the best products can fall victim to poor maintenance. I contacted U-Tec and they helped me immediately. U-tec sent me new couplings for both locks and asked whether I feel qualified for the installation. Installation couldn't be easier. I mentioned technique that my grip is a little wobbly and how to adjust it. The technician said, "I'll send new ones, install new ones." I did. Now the locks work great. Even though I had to send the old parts back, a postage paid shipping label was always included. Not once have I had to spend a dime on a product because of a problem. I don't mind crashes as long as the product is well maintained. I used to use TP-Link products until a month after I bought them, I had an issue with one of them and was told that the buyer would have to pay to return the old product. So I had to pay for Tp-link, because their product failed during the warranty period. I will never buy a TP_LINK product again. When a company isn't willing to pay for return shipping, it means their product is depreciating too often. I don't use products that require the customer to pay for their refusal. These locks are well designed, they have a nice user interface and the Bluetooth model is truly a 21st century lock. I have yet to find a competitor. Thank you U-TEC for the great customer support.
