This cat shirt is way better than a pubic cone. Our cats don't like cones around their heads (who would?) I bought this for our big fluffy 10.5 month old kitty Coco to wear after spaying. She wears Large and fits her perfectly. For the first hour after the sterilization operation, she felt dizzy and stumbled from the anesthesia. She fell on her side, didn't look very happy, but the surgery didn't seem to suit her. After that she can move quite well in the costume. It gently protects the incision site to prevent wound licking, which could lead to injury. She is able to eat and drink freely (limited amount after surgery, fortunately she has a healthy appetite and no nausea). Initially, she used the tablet with no problems. The costume didn't poop on the second/third try but she managed to urinate a few drops on it. It was easy to remove and wash, but I only bought one so she had to carry a donut with a cat neck pillow (pictured) while I washed and dried her hazmat suit. To my surprise, she did NOT like the neck donut. My advice: buy 2. This one has buttons to close the back. They remain closed and the kitten cannot get out of them. It was easy for me to remove. My kitty only struggled when getting dressed (two of us were taken) after he was on her everything was fine. I ordered a second onesie with velcro on the back to see if it was easier to put on, although his reviews said the velcro is thicker/stiffer so it might not be as comfortable to wear. Just take a look. It is great.
