Expensive but what a cool lock. The key goes in and turns like clockwork (important for me after replacing two cheaper U-locks, after two years the keys could finally no longer be turned due to sticking). I've had this lock in Seattle weather for a year, drive non-stop at least five days a week (all seasons) and the lock appears to be weatherproof. It's heavy, weighing about 3-1/4 pounds. for the 9" and 3-3/4 lbs for the longer 11" model (I have both). But if you're 250 pounds and running steel frames, there's less than a 1% difference compared to the cheaper, dead, discarded U-locks I've had. If you ride carbon and you're lean, well I can't imagine you'd want this lock to steal all the weight reduction you're enjoying. It does not mount to the frame, purchased separately (about $25). It's also excellent, doesn't rattle, is easy to remove and put back in the holder. Hopefully the square shackle means that anyone using a cutting wheel will have to make two cuts as the shackle doesn't twist in the clasp like round shackles do. The shackle feels stiff/strong enough to make it difficult for a thief to bend the shackle after a cut.
