Like many boys, my son is very picky about shoes. I decided to pay a little more for these shoes thinking the brand and quality would stand up to its rough houses. We've bought the New Balance, Merrill and Nike brands in the past and have been able to wear each pair decently, maybe 6 months on average. However, after 8 weeks of wearing these New Balance running shoes, they fall apart. One of the most frustrating issues is the hole on the inside of the shoe as shown in the picture. This happened 5 weeks after wearing. Another problem is that the material starts to detach from the sole of the shoe. Like I said, he's tough on shoes. However, he doesn't wear them every day, but most of the time. Ironically, at half the price, the other shoes withstood his abuse and lasted three times as long. In conclusion, I would like to say that I am very disappointed with the quality of these shoes, at least for this particular New Balance model, especially for the price.
