Bought this device for my wife's car which had no sat nav. Also bought a power cord (no subscription required - just plug in). Have played with it and used it locally to go to the supermarket, doctor etc and it has worked great every time. Shows the traffic on the map if necessary. Attaches to the windscreen with a suction cup - I didn't think this would work very well but was pleasantly surprised at how well it holds up. Big PLUS in my opinion. The traffic cable replaces the charging cable and when you plug it into the car cigarette lighter it powers itself and the device. However, you must be aware of one thing: the small module included in this cable, close by, where it is connected to the device must have a clear view of the satellite to update traffic. At this point I bent a large paperclip and slipped it onto the cord to hold the module to the dash under the windshield. Haven't found a better holder yet, but I'm thinking of attaching it to something on top of the dash, e.g. B. a small storage compartment with a hinged door. I still think it's a very good device at a very good price. Haven't used speech recognition yet, but it's easy to use without it. My wife wanted to change the computer's voice and it's very easy to do in the settings. Entering the address is slightly different from my other Ford Nav equipped car, so the separation of the systems can be a bit confusing, but that's not a criticism of Garmin at all. Overall I am impressed with the quality of the Garmin. and operation. I bent a large paper clip and attached it to the cord to hold the module on the dash under the windshield.
