I bought and took it as a gift to my father for the New Year in another city. The box was sealed with a film and outwardly did not cause suspicion. Items were not opened at checkout. The disk itself turned out to be without a film inside. My worst purchase - 100 per GB. The receipt says: HDDP Seagate STEL8000200. There was a Seagate folder structure on the disk, a file with a serial number, which we even managed to register, but there were no utilities. Seagate Dashboard identified the drive as an 80 GB Western Digital drive with a different serial number. I managed to write to a disk 46 GB (everything is readable). When trying to write a larger amount of data, the disk simply stopped responding during the recording process. After the reboot, repeated attempts to write also failed. The disk warmed up to 57 C, and the write speed was 40 MB / s. Seagate SeaTools For Windows, AIDA64 was recognized in a WDC WD800JD-60LSA5 (80 GB, 7200 RPM) drive with a different serial number: WD-WMAM9HF51667. In Explorer and in Disk Management, the capacity is ~ 7.3 TB. When trying to format, the capacity changed to 74 GB. Since I read reviews from the Market, there is no service in the parent city, and I didn’t have time to replace it under warranty before the holiday, an attempt was made to open the plastic case in order to connect the disk to SATA, as they say in the reviews here. It was found that the hull had already been opened and sealed. Inside - a hard drive without identification marks on the top cover, with traces of stickers. The inscriptions found on the back cover: Western Digital 2063704000 TB71PT (on the case), 2060-701335-005 REV A (on the board), 2061-701335-E00 AK XW 3C22 BZF5 8 0007240 7247 (on the sticker with the barcode on the connector), etc. . Thus, the original hard drive, despite the integrity of the package and the new presentation, turned out to be completely different from the product that I purchased. Unfortunately, I read the reviews about this product only after the purchase. And do not trust the advisers in the reviews. Return the item if you have any doubts.
