A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

There are a lot of comments, as I understand it, from experienced seasoned photographers who often find fault with this glass, confusing beginners like me. I tell the same beginners - this is a great glass! I shoot on 500D - the difference between a whale lens and this one is indescribable. Those. Feels like it's 2 different cameras. The lens is pleasant to the touch, focuses quickly and almost never misses, excellent colors, sharpness, fairly high (compared to a whale) aperture and a stabilizer that does not cause complaints. Conclusion: yes, this is an expensive piece of iron, but it's worth it. I will say more - budget cameras are equipped with completely filthy whale lenses, the replacement of which is a must. And 24-105 f/4L is a very good variant. ps chose between this and 24-70. I came to the conclusion that for street (not studio) shooting, a stabilizer and FR are better than aperture. : A year of using this glass has already passed and the sensations from it have become even better. During a year of careless use, the lens was hit many times on all sorts of jambs, visited the sand, and several times got caught in the rain. But, despite all this, of the damage - only a small scratch on the window of the focus scale. No dust inside, nothing creaks, it works like on the day of purchase. On the question of which is better: stub or 2.8: I also use the Canon EF 70-200 f / 2.8L USM - excellent glass! But at overlapping focal lengths, I still prefer the 24-105. And especially in poor lighting - at FR from 70 and above, no aperture compensates for hand trembling, the stub decides! I compared 2 of these glasses for XA - on intersecting FR 24-105 it definitely wins. If equipped with a good flash, then good shots are guaranteed both outdoors at night and indoors. And due to the stabilizer, the flash and slow shutter speeds give a well-drawn background even at dusk on a covered aperture. I still think that this beautiful glass is not only worth the money, but it will also make every paid for a budget DSLR work to the fullest!

Pros
  • Bright, clear picture; wide range of FR; quality performance.
Cons
  • The price confuses a little, but it is adequate for the quality
