I like the pen, it's much easier to use, especially when hands get weak. You can use your weight to mash. The metal is thick and strong, it doesn't look like it will bend. It's nice. I wouldn't use it in a nonstick pan because it might scratch it. It makes my job easier. The crusher is oval in shape so there isn't much room in it, but it's still not too big and fits in a drawer as it's pretty obvious it won't fit in a jug.
