Review on Taigoehua 10340314 Harness Chevrolet 10340316 by Todd Stone

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great price with caveat

It costs less than half of a Dorman speed sensor harness (970-040, 970-041 etc.), so mine should be 970-041 In my opinion, some leeway can be given in terms of quality. The Dorman hanger itself is also not comparable in quality to the original hanger (cheap Christmas tree clips, cheap machine) but has given 3 years of trouble free service on my W body so far. Only time will tell if this Taigoehua harness (also appears to be sold under other brands such as AUTEX and MIKKUPPA) is as strong as the Dorman harness. However, one thing to keep in mind when purchasing this harness: the wires are not twisted together. as with OE and Dorman belts. At least on my Buick, the OE speed sensor wiring is an unshielded twisted pair. Dorman's harness is the same. This helps reduce line noise caused by potential external EMI. So if you use this harness you can remove the seat belt and twist the wires tightly together to mimic the factory setting (you'll also need to find a way to keep the wires from unraveling). Of course, if you do this, the overall length of the bundle will be much shorter, so check to see if there is a break in the existing wiring above the bundle. Basically I needed a connector and some wires so this was perfect for me. Verdict: At half the price of the Dorman version, I'd highly recommend this harness if you don't mind the limitations above. This similar harness sold by other vendors or under other brands such as AUTEX and MIKKUPPA is 50% more expensive and at this price point it is becoming increasingly difficult for me to recommend the trusted Dorman harness.
