Review on 🐠 SUN YT-304 18 Liters Per Minute Aquarium Air Pump - 4 Outlets, 8.5 Watts, 120 Gallon Capacity by Michelle Davis

This is probably the WORST air pump I have ever bought! First, very bad sound! watch the video I bought these to rotate my pumps, retiring the older ones to use as backup pumps for small aquariums or in an emergency. This thing is huge so I thought at least the performance would be great, it works with 4 small sponge filters in 3 different SMALL aquariums, the largest is 10 gallons and the other two are 5 so it doesn't look like a deep aquarium they are it only for my bettas. I am not at all impressed with the flow rates considering they connect directly to each filter and there is only a relief valve between it and the filters. Then that TERRIBLE ear-splitting sound AND it feels hot! I don't know how long I can use this thing! It's terrible! I put a towel under and around him just to try to calm him down a bit! But it's driving me insane, I can't imagine what my poor fish is feeling. I'll probably have to turn it off sooner rather than later. HATE IT! I will never buy again! One of my old pumps started making a lot of noise and when it arrived I was glad to scrap it and then hook up this one. ok now the other one seems like a beautiful babbling brook noise compared to this horrible extremely loud one, even my neighbors can hear it! Simply TERRIBLE on all levels! waste of money! UPDATE: Right after I wrote this review I decided I couldn't stand this noise anymore, luckily I also bought an emergency pump from another well known brand as I have several tanks, one of which only has 2 outlets, now everything is quiet AND THE SAME filters ( 4 sponges) that worked on this 4-way pump boiled. I had to install control valves to reduce the flow. So yes, this pump is the WORST I've ever bought. Unfortunately I threw the box away so I will keep a "just in case" for an emergency if one of my other pumps fails BEFORE I can get a replacement just if I can get it to work. I just hope when that happens I don't turn this one on and he's dead or something! I had it not long ago, but when I turned it off, it was EXTREMELY hot!
