Review on Enhanced Supco SZ7014648 Defrost Timer - Advanced Replacement for Sub-Zero 7014648 by Anna Reed

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Installed in 1961 Sub-Zero Freezer

We have a 1961 built freezer in our house. Very cool (looks like it). The old timer has breathed its last and I couldn't find a timer with 5 tabs, yes the original had 5 connection points on the timer. Eventually I called Sub-Zero and spoke to a technician about this after the operator was satisfied that Sub-Zero did not make a freezer with the model number I provided. The technique was great! He faxed me a schematic with his notes on how to rewire the freezer to get the 4-link timer to work. He said they only sell one timer and that's it. Blinking was easier than I thought. I also installed a new defrost protection thermostat. The freezer works great now. Another 52 years?
