Review on Scotty Post Bracket Sounder Mount by John Collins

I had to install a Hummingbird 678c on the nose of my 13 foot Boston Whaler. It already had a female Scotty deck mount that I wanted to use. Since this product does not fit the hummingbird, I made the adapter plate using a piece of 3/8" plastic cutting board I found at my local hardware store. The result was good. The hummingbird is strong and stable and positioned correctly so I can see it clearly from my fishing spot; However, I have since found that the Scotty 368 Compact Universal Fish Mount fits the Hummingbird without the need for a special adapter plate. I wasn't aware of that when I bought it.
