I live in southern Arizona it is very dry here, I bought these to control the humidity in my musical instrument cases. I got the hygrometers today and put them all on the kitchen counter to acclimatize and after 4 hours they were all reading 27 or 28% humidity while my AcuRite hygrometers show me 16% humidity. I'll return them as soon as possible. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being better) I would rate them as absolute crap.
