500 lumens is probably good for video projectors
5000 lumens can NEVER be. That being said, for less than $100, this is a projector that I've used successfully over a fairly lit 750 square foot area. Feet for presentations and also in my garage for football game projection. It's under $100 and you get what you pay for. In this case probably more. This isn't a $2,000 HD projector.
