This is the sixth phone holder I've tried. Most of the previous ones could only be attached to the windshield. Even when I did, I couldn't get any of them to stay tethered for more than a day or two. The pair said they mount on the dash but never leave it there, even after tuning. I didn't like it on the windshield either. I tried this because it said it would stick to any surface and stay there. The mounting disc looked a little different than the others. Thicker gel maybe, I'm not sure. It also had a longer lever than the others, making the phone closer to me and easier to read. At this point, let me point out that I do not read my mobile phone while driving. I listen to music on my phone and audio books. When it comes to attachment, you have the choice. Attached with suction cup or with permanent adhesive. I received the goods on time and as promised. I attached it to the dashboard with a suction cup. It's been there for a few weeks now and it's not falling off. It stayed connected while I held my phone during a recent 6 hour drive, a week at the beach and a 6 hour drive home. During that time I removed the phone, put the phone in, got in and out of the car, etc. The item was left in place. Didn't resolve at all. I couldn't be happier! I didn't rate the glue because I didn't need it. The design is pleasant. I was able to place the screen where I can see it without obscuring any part of my vision.
