I have had several issues with this product1. When I received my first mermaid monofin, the box was too small so it was deformed. I returned it and said it needed a bigger box and encountered the same problem with the next fin (same sized box) so gave up trying to return it and just left the stupid thing behind2. I noticed that the buckles were very difficult to undo without being in the water. So, for example, if you drown and need to quickly get out of this product in the water, you will have problems and will probably have to cut it to get it out. That. I personally broke mine to loosen the straps (see pic) which I tightened and had to reset them. I'm just thankful I didn't swim in it the moment I had to solve it (aka sunken). The middle hook holding the legs together doesn't make any sense either as it doesn't unhook for easy release (or any kind) like it should, so it's not allowed to have a hook in the monofin at all, and I tightened it as tight as it should it just worked. Also the neoprene socks barely fit my foot which is US women's size 8 1/2-9
