I have liked this computer speaker/subwoofer for about a year. Then it buzzed for some time and the music shut down, but a slight movement of the speaker connector did nothing. But for today the whole system is dead. Nothing but an electrical hum. I contacted Klipsch a few days ago to fix the issue but haven't received a response from them yet. broke in my system after a little over a year. Obviously there are many, many people who have had to deal with this, but Klipsch keeps making them that way. A week later I received a reply from Klipsch. You will NOT redeem the warranty as the speakers were not purchased from an "authorized retailer". I bought them from a Revain third party who calls themselves an 'authorized center' but is in no way actually authorized. Just a complete scam and I felt cheated. Luckily Revain's amazing customer service reps stepped in and got it right. My next speakers will NOT be Klipsch. They shouldn't be selling them with this control box issue and if they cared about their customers they would consider this a recall and fix the problem even though the warranty is expired. UPDATE 12/15/18: Got my new Harman Kardon Soundsticks 2 and am very happy with them. They sound better than Klipsch 2.1. My advice: avoid the inevitable hassle of breaking your Klipsch speakers after a year or so and just use the Soundsticks 2!
