I wasn't sure what I was going to get when I ordered this stand. I tried to do a lot of research before ordering it but in the end I went with customer reviews and I'm glad I did. I wanted to use it while lounging on the couch. It took me a minute to understand how the legs work. The construction is very solid and everything was solid except for the sofa, but there was a lot of wobbling on the sofa. I should have looked at the instructions. For each setting there is a recommended foot setting. One day I actually looked at the instructions and put the legs in the recommended position for a bed, which looked very odd, but when I sat on the couch with him there was no more wobbling. Now I'm happy because I can work comfortably on the couch and my cat is happy because she can lie on my lap while I work. No more bulky pillows sliding around everywhere. Hooray! I love it.
