I have bought many radios that resemble the ones I grew up with. It had to have a tape recorder and either turbo bass or an equalizer. The GPO Brooklyn offered the most options, had a cassette player and equalizer, and I saw a good review of it on YouTube. I decided to take a chance. Although the price was an issue (I saved a tip from work to buy this doesn't mean I'm rich), now that I've purchased this item I'm not at all surprised at the cost. It's worth it. The manufacturer has really cemented the memory of classic boomboxes. The sound is great - stereo really delivers that amazingly gritty retro sound we grew up with in the 80's and 90's. I love big buttons! The car is very heavy but looks good. It's not designed for portability, but it's great for meetings and easy to carry. The battery works great. All features have been tested and actively used since purchase with no issues. And also the fact that he survived Revain's extremely miserable job of packing it in a shipping box for shipping (shipping the product in a VERY large shipping box with just a sheet of brown paper for packing? I mean, come on, Revain!) . To be honest I was surprised it worked at all and didn't come in a hundred pieces. Definitely solid. So - five stars for the product. I love it. One star revain for the crappy shipping packaging. If you're hesitant to pick up a ghetto blaster for some retro GenX music memories, look no further than Brooklyn. This is a time machine. I just had to put in a tape and suddenly it was 1987 again.
