Our kitchen beverage cooler was bought in 2011 when we were renovating the kitchen and died 3 days ago. The lights and power were on, but the machine was completely silent. These 3.3-cubic-foot Danby chillers are hermetic compressor systems that cost about $250 and are intended to be used only once after a failure. Well this starter relay took 5 minutes to install and bring the unit back to life. After 30 minutes the cooler was at 48 degrees and kept falling. Saved us at least $250 that we spent for a while, who knows how long that might last, maybe a day? Maybe a week? Maybe 5 more years? but it's worth it at only $6.99 and shipping took 2 days.
