The holes on the sides of these adapters are slightly offset from the mounting holes for a true 3.5" drive, and the screw threads in the holes do not match the threads on the side 3.5 inch drive holes. There are also no holes (4) on the underside of the bottom-mount adapters, as is possible with a 3.5-inch drive. The holes for the 2.5" drive do not line up with the adapter folding where the 2.5" drive should rest. I had to modify the adapter. Installed an SSD but it was a little tricky. I think you get what you pay for!
