Soft plastic, bends easily, won't hold windows. These clips were the right size and shape and seemed like a good idea as the soft plastic was less likely to crack and break than the hard plastic of the OEM parts I was replacing. The OEM parts lasted 20 years, this replacement only took 20 days before the window popped out and the clips slipped with no window. The brackets didn't break, but they deformed, leaving the window. BMW E46 power windows are very prone to breakage, don't add another point of failure. Spend the extra $5 and buy something to hold the window in place.
