Unlike genuine items that stick to the bottom of a coffee mug, they stay in place. I actually bought this set because one of the originals imperceptibly stuck to the mug, fell down somewhere and disappeared. After receiving a replacement of two, the remaining OEM cupholder liner was tossed into a garage drawer and replaced with one of these.
