Pretty good shape. We used some of them for jelly and others for making pencils. For the jelly, I sprayed the bottom with cooking spray, expecting it to stick. It worked fine but I haven't tried it without the spray and it cleans up easily. I haven't used it with chocolate but you could. My mom had a bunch of crayons so we used some of these molds to melt them down into new crayons. The figures turned out very cute, but my kids don't draw with them for long, because the shape isn't small, it's just not very practical. They haven't been washed either, they can definitely only be used for colored pencils, but they survived a low oven, I think we had a maximum of 250 degrees. But both jellies and crayons were fun projects and paid off as expected.
