We rented a new dry camper. (Beginners in the mobile home world). We have electricity but no access to water so we have to pump water from barrels to the camper. That is why we have to save on water consumption. Which brings us to the ugly realities of black tanks. We use a portable bin that we empty every time we stop. We used TST liquid but it didn't get rid of the smell. On our most recent trip after draining the black tank, we used RV Digest It pods to treat the tank and odor elimination pods. I have a very sensitive nose so I was desperate for a solution. I have 2 capsules from each canister (2 RV Digest It Tank Treatment capsules and 2 Odor Eliminator capsules). After about 10 hours all the bad smells went away when the toilet was flushed. It really was like a miracle! When we came back we will post an update if anything changes. Educating our kids about nature, respect for wildlife and their natural habitat was an absolute joy! Kids never ask to buy an RV TV or play iPad games. We explore, fish, track animals and pick berries. And now I can enjoy the outdoors and not have to worry about going to a smelly toilet again! I will never use it in our camper. Whether it was 30 degrees or 100 degrees, the capsules worked. In very hot weather I have used 3 pods at a time after emptying the black water tank. great product
