I bought this as bedding for my guinea pigs. used to buy hemp bedding from Wal.art for $4 a bag which was a bargain. so of course i was lucky, about a month after i took my pigs the product was discontinued 🙄 alternatives on the internet (at least the ones i found) were prohibitively expensive so in the meantime i've stuck to wood chips. Wood shavings are absolutely S*CK for guinea fowl. They poop and pee so much and it's really starting to smell like a barn unless you throw them out and replace them every few days, which also gets prohibitively expensive. and if they don't eat all their fresh veggies at once and fall on the black soil, you've got a nice little colony of fruit flies thriving under the tree and BOOM. Now you have 18 million fruit flies and a nightmare. I saw this hemp bedding here, made sure it didn't have any additional ingredients that might harm my pigs, and gave it a try. Well, let me tell you that. My pigs LOVE this floor. It is extremely soft to the touch, light weight and absorbs moisture better than any wood or paper which I also hate because if you buy white it stains instantly with urine because they pee all day, it looks gross and smells godless. For us the perfect alternative. My piglets are happier as shown by their constant eating of popcorn and chasing each other while they play. and at $16 for a giant bag, it's already paid for itself. I've barely made a dent in the bag and it's been over a month and I'm rigorously updating and replacing it because I now have undue paranoia about fruit flies. I will buy this product forever! This is the best value for money cannabis I could find after an exhaustive web search. SO HAPPY
