I have a 45 lb husky who is very friendly. Unfortunately, not all dogs are so calm. My husky was at a dog park a while ago and the larger dog didn't like the slot in his jib. The aggressive dog grabbed my husky by the neck and wouldn't let go. Luckily, I'm a fairly tall person and had the strength to unhook the dog's collar and hold it in the air until the unwary owner takes his eyes off the phone and comes to collect the animal. The man and his dog immediately left the park and drove away. Although I managed not to be bitten and my husky's injuries were minor, I didn't want this situation to happen again. This case made me search a bit for a new collar with thick leather and a wide strap. Once I found this product the sizes plus the rivets got me sold. The collar looks great on my Husky and the red spike design makes it stiff while still feeling soft. Spiky spikes have never really been a problem when he's fighting and playing with other friendly dogs. Inevitably, last summer another owner brought an aggressive dog to the park that tried to grab my husky by the throat. Instead of a throat, he received a mouthful of justice, which surprised him long enough for the owner to tie up their pet and leave the park. I've had no risk of being bitten by another dog's ripping off, and when it comes to my dog's neck or an aggressive dog's jaw, a collar helps solve the problem. Aside from the reliable quality and spiked protection, I'm a fan. The fact of the matter is that this collar has two D-rings on opposite sides. I can attach the leash to the rear ring as long as the tags are attached in the front. The collar received five stars in my book for style, durability, and protection.
