Powerful Propane Gas Lamp for Yards and Gardens

The Bravex flashlight was ordered for the yard, garden and driveway. This powerful tool should be used with care and caution as it produces a very hot and long flame. As a first test, I burned and destroyed a strip of Bermuda grass about 1 foot wide and 120 feet long. This grass has invaded the driveway of our yard. This process took about 30 minutes of actual burn time, but nothing was left but ash. I can't tell if the heat has really gotten to the roots, but it will be obvious in the spring. Attaching the burner rod and hose to the propane tank is easy. The stem of the hose is screwed directly into the tank valve and tightened with a "left" turn INSTEAD of a right turn. Read the instructions before connecting the hose to avoid damaging the end of the hose or the tank connector. The flashlight comes with 6.5ft hose. This is the only problem I found with the flashlight kit. The hose should be longer in the 9 to 10 foot range to avoid contact with the tank and to reach weeds and grass that are not as close to the tank. According to the product description, the burner has a maximum output of 500,000 Btu and can heat up to 3,000 degrees. I have no way of defining this function, but if so, then this statistic is important. All I know is that the torch was strong and hot. The only other activity I plan to use this torch for is melting snow on the concrete steps of our home. BOTTOM: I love this torch. It's powerful, hot, and versatile, but should definitely be used with caution. I would order this lamp again.

Pros
  • MULTIPURPOSE: Burn weeds and stumps, melt snow, roast meat or fish, start fires, drink, burn wood fiber, soften asphalt, remove paint from non-combustible surfaces and more with this propane lamp.
Cons
  • Slightly dented
