Review on Permatex 82180 Maximum Resistance Silicone by Glenn Cho

My new Chinese master cylinder cap leaks like a sieve, no matter how tight the yoke is, I could have left the cap off. Instead of taking it off and sanding the flange, I was wondering if there was a brake fluid resistant sealant. I let the drip set overnight, then soaked in DOT-3 brake fluid for a week, rinsed and checked for softening, smearing, stretching, wear, discoloration, etc. No change so I am confident to use it on rubber seals and will. (when I get around to it) Wash and dry the gasket and cap, wipe the MC flange with a damp cloth and get to work.
