I've spent my life fixing things and using tools, so I know what a lousy tool looks like. I've lost a lot of skin and blood to poorly designed junk masquerading as hand tools. They feel solid and well-made, and have all the serious design cues I look for in a good tool, which is "does it do what it's supposed to do?" a thing it's supposed to do without a bunch of extra crap, which I do don't have to attach? "The answer here is yes. Not only can you use them to stretch canvas, but your grandkids could probably use the same pair. They are so well put together. They might even survive a few years of use in public schools!
