Well if you are installing this on the CRF250L you need to know the following: 1. Wash the tank well before proceeding with the installation. All sorts of garbage came out of me. I wrapped a hose around/in it and let it dry for a couple of days.2. When you install it, your fuel pump should be rotated 180 degrees from the standard position. Acerbis claims this was done on purpose. I call BS. I don't think they realized they were doing this until they produced the tanks. If they had known they did it on purpose, then the instructions would have said to "rotate the fuel pump 180 and put it in a new tank."3. When you bolt the fuel pump to the new tank, the bolts don't go all the way down, you can't adjust the torque (factory torque is 9 ft.lbs for the original tank bolts). So I put some blue Loctite in each screw hole. Tighten in a star pattern, as if changing a tire. Don't tighten them so much that you don't start to deform the metal plate at the bottom of the fuel pump.4. Before bolting everything back to the bike, fill the tank with enough fuel to cover the bottom of the fuel pump. Leave for about an hour, check for leaks.5. If everything is in order, lay the fuel line. You'll have to see it in person to understand it, but since your fuel pump is 180 degrees from the drain, you'll need to route the fuel line from the tank differently. However, it works. Make sure there are no creases. Check out Corey's YT rides for a pretty good overview.6. When installing the tank, you may not be able to align the hole in the tank with the mounting flanges for the rear cross-bolt that attaches the tank to the bike. If so, put a Phillips head in the right side of that hole on the tank (with your right hand like you're on a bike) then screw the left half screw in, then you can get it. through the rest of the way.7. Your plastic will come back, just take your time and OBSERVE the instructions on how to do it. The kit includes gaskets. In general, the installation is quite troublesome, the instructions are up to date, but this is a translation from Italian, so read it carefully. Take your time. Especially when removing and installing the fuel pump. Check out Thumpertalk if you need more help. I got a star for a stupid 180 installing the fuel pump and Acerbis behaved like it was on purpose and not a CAD drawing or manufacturing error. Once fitted the tank looks good, works well and yes I would buy it again, warts and all. Better than the IMS tank which requires you to cut off the plastic to reattach.
