Installation was terrible but a good tank.

Job done but which PITA to install. You won't make all the factory plastic catch fire, so be prepared to need zip ties. The stunt that comes with the bike does not have a check valve so it can be replaced.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • I don't remember but something happened

Five star product except it doesn't fit

Massive, massive installation issues. Your plastic will not mount straight. I had to cut a lot of my stock plastic to fit this tank. I wish it would fit perfectly because that would make this a 5 star rating.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • Modern

The tank fits well but not like a standard tank

The Acerbis tank is well built and a quality piece but the two holes for the stock mounting bolts did not line up with the adjusting nuts. . Also, part of the radiator shroud had to be removed due to interference issues.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Does not fit all

Installation is easy

2014 honda crf250tank is amazing, installation was very easy. I just ran into two problems. 1) The pad that came with it was too big so I used what I had on hand. 2) the holes in the middle of the plastic don't match, but everything else is fine! Overall great for the price

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Use thread lock when installing the pump

Fits like a charm, feels great on the bike. Really good looking. With the help of foam and glue you can make the plastic square like a factory. My pump had the same orientation as the standard tank. The included fuel breather hose could be a bit longer. Be sure to block

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • Having problems

Great product but the best among gas tanks

Great product but: I found it very difficult to install and align the holds with the tank, I had my right fairing a bit to bend, the radiator cap does not fit. The instructions say the tank holds 3.3 gallons, not 3.1. It's great overall, adding another 1 gallon from 2 (stock) to 3 will increase the range to 210 (assuming 70mpg x 3gal). I'm happy with it!

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it, everything is fine

It just doesn't fit.

The tank looks good. The quality is beyond any doubt. I give 2 stars (instead of 1) because the product looks good. However, it was listed as fitting my 2014 Honda CRF250L and there was no chance. The front hubs were too far apart due to the spacers that came with them, so I tried different lengths of modified spacers and finally got them to fit. The real problem was in the back of the tank. The rear mounting/bolt hole was at least 1/2" (front to back) and since the back of the tank met the…

It works, but it takes work.

Well if you are installing this on the CRF250L you need to know the following: 1. Wash the tank well before proceeding with the installation. All sorts of garbage came out of me. I wrapped a hose around/in it and let it dry for a couple of days.2. When you install it, your fuel pump should be rotated 180 degrees from the standard position. Acerbis claims this was done on purpose. I call BS. I don't think they realized they were doing this until they produced the tanks. If they had known they…

Pros
  • Solid Finish
Cons
  • Damaged
