Review on πŸ”’ Rubber Coated Hitch Tightener: Anti Rattle Solution for Quiet, Wobble-Free Towing by Frankye Sherman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Decent cheap option

Like all the cheaper ones this one is softer metal with weaker nuts/fixings but still does the job. The rubber feels comfortable. I added my own lock nuts instead of relying on lock washers, but that's not necessary. Whether you use lock nuts or lock washers, either way it seems like you'll need to replace them after a few years of use, and when the soft threads wear out too much to do any more work you'll need to buy another. If you want a more durable and long-lasting version, take a look at the version that RhinoUSA sells. It's fine for my tiny utility trailer that tows 1000-1500 pounds, but don't skimp on a good brand for larger trailers.
