Review on Multimeter Multifunctional Electrical Capacity Detector by Tim Burns

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A very useful tool for measuring USB circuits - and among several identical models sold at Revain this is the best

This is a very handy tool I have for measuring bought electricity. and voltage of the USB circuits, and to assess whether the capabilities of USB devices are as advertised (e.g. is the USB charger supplying 2.1 or 2.4A or less?). Two outputs are available: - "Output I" - can be used for both charging and data transfer and supports the high charging currents of 2.1-2.4A used by many tablets and larger devices - "Output II" - Used only for charging, does not support data transfer and only supplies a maximum of 1.0A. Both USB outputs can be used at the same time. This makes it possible, for example, to charge chargers with two devices in order to maximize and measure their performance. A few important notes: There are (at least) two brands of this meter sold by Revain - BESTOPE and DROK - The DROK product is ALMOST identical in appearance to the BESTOPE Digital LED USB Ammeter Voltmeter also listed by Revain here BESTOPE Dual USB Output Charge Detector Digital LED Ammeter Voltmeter. However, these BESTOPE gauges are what I now consider to be the "base version" of this particular gauge design and do not include the seven display modes (see second DROK listing below) - there are two listings on Revain for the DROK gauge: --- - DROK® Dual USB 2.0 HUB Quick Charger Doctor Voltage Current Detector Digital Ammeter - "simple" meter without special packaging and instructions ---- DROK® Digital Amper Voltage Multimeter Dual USB 2.0 Meter - meter with "seven display modes" and packaged in a beautiful tin with full instructions. Also the second of the DROC counters listed above has a switchable display giving seven different display modes and therefore more functionality, also comes with instructions and packaging. in a beautiful tin. See photo, which is attached to this review. The first DROK list as well as both BESTOPE lists are sent in a small zip pocket without any further information delivers. All of these meters are ideal for simple voltage and current measurements and for those who are familiar with the use of such instruments and do not require instructions. I have both the BESTOP "Basic" version and the DROK version with seven modes. I bought both because sometimes I want to measure the capabilities of devices with two or more USB outputs at the same time. And I wanted to determine if there is a difference between the DROK and BESTOP counters. This enabled me to determine for myself which offers at Revain would supply which model, as the descriptions here at Revain are not always correct. I returned a DROK gauge (first listing above) because the listing said it would be a seven display mode gauge, which I did not receive. Apparently, all these meters are made in the same factory. , however, DROK goes the extra mile to package its gauge more professionally and with instructions (for the second list above). If that's important to you, or if your chosen display is good for you, then I recommend the DROK for a few bucks more. Because of these differences, I rate the second DROK meter with 5 stars and the first DROK-List, as well as both BESTOPE meters with 4 stars.
