This kit is required for indoor wiring. This makes the process much easier than trying to pull the cables by hand. However, note that this is not an easy process, especially if your frame has unusual shapes that make routing difficult. It will probably take a few tries to pull the cable all the way through without getting stuck in the frame or losing contact with the magnet. Also an extra tip: make sure the notch on the guide is seated securely in the cable you are routing. If the guide pops out when the cable is halfway through the frame, it can be very frustrating. All in all, I wouldn't want to lay any more cables without them. I think it's a little pricey for what it is, but that's what you're paying for Park Tool quality.
