Low capacity USB sticks only

I'm trying to duplicate 4 x 1TB USB sticks and all errors (red LED). If I just plug in a single 1TB USB stick, it works. I tried it with two 1TB USB sticks, error again (red LED). However, there are no problems with small capacity hard drives (e.g. 8GB / 16GB).
