I have two cats and have always used simple clay bowls. They both dig there so hard they kick everywhere, and even if I put a shield on him, he often ends up everywhere and in my bed because he sticks to her paws. The crystals in the liter box were immediately tested by my oldest cat who is known for keeping an eye on everything and was mildly amused by the crystals and found no problem with them sticking to her paws. She had no problems with the new box either. My youngest used it with no problem and went about her work. The pads work fine but I made sure to sprinkle baking soda on them before installing. So far, I am very satisfied. I'll try to get two or three more of them in a while since I'll take care of them. outside cats in the area and i need to bring one because she is pregnant. I'm sure she will love it too.
