I use this for a wild animal that I recently adopted. After a month of use, although I like the concept, I have a suggestion/recommendation for the manufacturer. The holes at the bottom of the tray are too small. I clean the litter box and change the litter and bedding weekly. While linens do not need to be changed, linens do need to be changed. The holes at the bottom of the bowl are too small for urine to pass through.

I have two cats and have always used simple clay bowls. They both dig there so hard they kick everywhere, and even if I put a shield on him, he often ends up everywhere and in my bed because he sticks to her paws. This product is TERRIBLE! Do not buy. I use the Purina Breeze system for my cat and love it. I only got this box because it's smaller than a snap and it was the only similar style I could find that matched my closet that I bought. THIS BOX IS FOR THE PIC SEAL! The absolute WORST system I have ever used in 12 years with 2 cats! The urine bowl gets so full that you have to change the pad twice a day. If you forget this for a day, urine will spill out everywhere! I admit that the crystal filler is preferable (for me). I tested the litter in large tanks and the cats were okay with the alternative box (versus clumping litter).
