Will not polish white Carrara marble. Luckily I tested this on an extra piece of white marble otherwise my floor/countertop would have been ruined. Working from the lowest grit to the highest grit (3000) with lots of water and a cordless drill at different speeds will not produce a visible shine. It may leave small scratches but you will be left with a matte finish. I would like to suggest the seller to include some kind of marble powder/polish with this kit so you can really get the shine. There doesn't seem to be much of a difference between 800 and 3000 grit. I've attached a photo of the end result - a reflection half on the existing countertop (note the reflection of the ceiling light) and half on the touchstone which is not being polished (no reflection at all).
