I have an 8 month old Standard Poodle and she barks a lot or became so after I started using this collar. The beep and vibration couldn't stop the barking. I keep my dog's shock at 9. The barking has already stopped. I use beep and vibrate when she doesn't get a call and to stop misbehavior around the house. This is a great purchase. * Leave the rubber prongs even when using electric shock. The dog can still feel the shock on them. I think that's why there are so many reports of dogs being burned. I think the owners are responsible for that. I prefer to wear the remote control on my collar. At first I felt like a bad owner because I couldn't control the barking and the way people were staring at me, coughing, coughing lol Karen.
