After reading reviews of different brands of "water balloons" I realized two things: They make a mess and drive kids crazy. I have a very active child who loves water. I chose this set because it looked like a fair amount of beads and had sea creatures in them. I used an 18 gallon clear **plastic box** about 1/3 full with water. First let me say that my little man knew something was up as soon as I had my bag in the kitchen. He used a kitchen spoon to stir the water before anything else was in the bag. (An hour later) I added pearls and he took the new "soup" as his own. I told him they need a day to swell before he can touch them. Of course he used that as an excuse to let his sea creatures touch him.
